"The best evidence against UFOs is that no one has leaked their specs on war thunder" - Cassander
It's time for our regular open thread. Talk about whatever you want, so long as it isn't culture war.
The blog's sixth anniversary is a little over a month away, and I am planning to put it on some sort of hiatus for at least a few months. I'll keep the OTs going and maybe post occasionally if I feel like it, but if anyone wants to write on appropriate topics, I would be happy to take guest contributions.
Overhauls are Nimrod, Riverine Warfare - South America, ICNW Part 5, Missile Defense Through the Decades, Liberty Ships Part 3, Standard parts one and two, and for 2022, NWAS Trident Part 2 and The DP Gun Problem.

The issue is that ufo's aren't in War Thunder. We need them to add flying saucers but make them really under powered.

Respectfully stealing.
Problem is that now a ufologist will make up some specs, put classified on the document and then post it to the War Thunder forum.
OK, so an F-35 pilot pushed "cruise control" before ejecting and the F-35 went on it's way ... somewhere?
Unintentional demonstration that the F-35 stealth tech is way way better than we thought?
Or that the plane was hit by lightning, the autopilot became sentient (Hollywood says this happens, it must be true) and is trying to carry out some secret mission?
Any thoughts on where this F-35 might be?
At an off-limits strip joint outside of Camp LeJeune
I'm looking forward to the first time a pilot ejects/passes out and the plane lands itself. That will start some very awkward conversations.
(Anyone else have their first captcha code always fail?)
Already happened, in a sense: cornfield bomber
The first captcha regularly fails for me, exactly in cases I feel like I spent a lot of time writing the comment.
@Basil Marte: yes, but when it happens here the rejected comment is still there in the comment box, so I can try again without retyping it. (If I notice the error at the top of the page - don't use the comment sidebar to check, because that does (!) show the rejected comment.)
