Notable recently is Iran taking a strong lead in this year's Brown Award, by capsizing a frigate in port. They will be the first repeat winner outside of the USN, which is certainly good news.

Isn’t the Brown award for worst screw-up that didn’t kill anyone? The article you linked about Sahand states that one person was killed. Also, if it turns out that Israel (or someone else) sabotaged it, would that also remove it from contention?
Oops. Missed that someone died. I don't think sabotage removes it from contention, on the grounds that you had to screw up to let the saboteur through.
